Food and beverage advertisements viewed by children decreased 5% in 2011. Still, on average children continue to be exposed to 13 junk food ads per day. Despite self regulation efforts that exist through the Children's Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI), this report demonstrate that CFBAI has had modest effects in controlling the amount of junk food TV advertisements viewed by children.
