The video, from the National Collaborative on Child Obesity Research (NCCOR), features the Healthy Eating Index (HEI)-2010 is a scoring metric designed to measure diet quality. That is, how closely an eating pattern or mix of foods matches Dietary Guidelines for American’s recommendations. Scientists from the National Cancer Institute conducted a study in which they applied the HEI-2010 to the U.S. food supply.
