During 2013 Texas Legislative Session, United Way Dallas will lobby for improvements to policies in the areas of education, income, and health. Childhood obesity prevention is a top health priority for United Way Dallas who plans on supporting policies that would protect annual FITNESSGRAM testing as well as health and physical education programs. United Way also supports increased access to nutritious school meals and reduction of barriers for community gardens.
