The Pirates will be testing out their new ‘Bike to Ballgame’ on September 15th, 2105, offering areas for 200 bikes and a first-ever free bike valet service within the stadium.

After noticing all the work Bike Pittsburg was doing in promoting a healthy biking culture in the city. A member the Pittsburg Pirates staff wanted to encourage the community to bike to the ballgame.

But how would they promote a healthy culture of biking to ballgame goers?

By providing the stadium with bike lanes, areas to park your bike for the game, and even a free bike-valet service.

The Pirates are wanting to be in support of all BikePGH is doing, not only by allowing areas to be designated for free bike use, but also by promoting the free biking valet this September 15th by offering a free round at a happy hour to those that bike to the stadium.

They also will be supporting biking culture by donating a portion of the game’s ticket sales to BikePGH and by continually working with the Positive Spin Youth Empowerment Program.
