The first deadline for health insurance under the Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) starting January 1st is Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Under the ACA law, not having health insurance can be costly. This coming year, the fine will be $695 per adult, $347.50 per child or “2.5 percent of income-whichever is higher.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) over 30% of Latinos under 65 are without health insurance.
You have until midnight to sign up for health coverage that will begin on January 1st.
