If you live in the Miami-Dade County area and have ideas for turning public spaces into safe, fun, and inviting destinations, then the Miami Foundation wants to hear from you!

Ideas like Farmers’ markets, outdoor fitness zones, and walking trails are all welcome.

The top submissions will be eligible for a $100,000 grant. Additionally the Health Foundation of South Florida is providing $30,000 for ideas that promote fitness activities and access to fresh food.

Submissions to the Miami Public Space Challenge are due April 8, 2014.
