The Food Trust recently released the new report Healthier Corner Stores, which outlines the foodtrustpositive impacts of their Healthy Corner Store Initiative from 2010 to 2012. Started as a pilot program in 2004, the Healthy Corner Store Initiative began with a simple premise, that everyone deserves access to healthy, affordable food, and that the ubiquitous corner store — often thought of as a source of unhealthy foods — can actually be a key partner in this effort.
