Busy schedules and the convenience of fast food make it hard for families to eat healthy.

This is especially true for Latino and African American communities where fast food tends to be more abundant and access to grocery stores is limited.

Moms have the power to make a change!

Let’s use #SaludTues on July 18, 2017, to tweet about empowering moms to make healthy food choices for their family, including the awesome digital tools that are part of the “You’re the Mom” campaign!

We’ll open the floor to your stories and experiences as we explore:

  • What barriers to healthy eating exist in restaurants.
  • What moms can do to empower their kids to eat healthier when dining at restaurants?
  • How having healthier menu options can impact Latino communities?

You’re the Mom aims to empower moms to choose healthy options for kids when eating out through social media posts, colorful posters, gifs with examples of healthy foods at fast food restaurants, daily hashtags that make healthy eating fun, and quotes straight from Latina and African American moms with kids ages 4-10.

We’re excited for this chat and look forward to seeing many moms, business leaders, and health advocates join us so please be sure to help spread the word by sharing this sample tweet:
