‘Schools urged to plan more exercise for kids’

In a recent letter to superintendents across Georgia, the state superintendent and the commissioner of the department of public health encouraged schools to increase physical activity opportunities for their students. In addition to regular PE classes, state officials are urging elementary schools to voluntarily provide an additional 30 minutes of physical activity throughout the day.
