According to a recent cross-sectional study published in JAMA Pediatrics researchers found that although many elementary school aged (6-11 yrs) Hispanic children met screen time viewing recommendations, they did not meet recommended levels of physical activity. In this study less that 40% of participants met both recommendations for physical activity and screen-time viewing.

The authors of this JAMA study concluded that less screen time does not necessarily mean more time spent doing physical activity.
