This report produced by the Sierra Club and the League of American Bicyclists shows how bicycling has increased among communities of color over the last few years.
According to the report, trips made by bike increased by 50% among Latinos between 2001-2009.
It also found that individuals of color were more likely to be killed while riding bikes than their white counterparts. Latinos were 23% more likely to be killed on a bike than whites and African Americans are 30% more likely to be killed.
