Adonia Lugo, a young bike advocate who started the Seattle Bike Justice project and co-founded CicLAvia, shares her experience in discovering the “human infrastructure” necessary to make communities more biker friendly. Through volunteering with non-profit organizations Lugo realized that not all cyclists were represented by bike advocacy groups.

She discusses how some groups like Latino day laborers often ride bikes to get to and from work, yet they are usually underrepresented in bike advocacy efforts.
