That's the reason for the first-ever conference, Advancing the Science of Cancer in Latinos, which will unite over 200 cancer researchers and leaders to tackle Latino cancer from all angles on Feb. 21-23, 2018 at the Marriott Plaza San Antonio. Rosalie Aguilar grew up watching her grandfather in his water treatment lab, purging pollutants to produce cleaner drinking water in Mexico. Her grandmother helped Latino reporters cover World War II stories.
