Univsion reports that more than 60% of U.S. adults know nothing about Zika, and less than 50% know that it can be sexually transmitted This is according to a survey released by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
“With the Zika virus emerging as a critical public health issue here and around the globe, it is even more important for us to be intentional about when, if, and under what circumstances to get pregnant,” said Ginny Ehrlich, CEO of the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
The survey conducted among 1,009 adults from different ethnicities, including Latinos, between ages 18-45 also reported that over 80% of adults have not made changes to their sexual life as a response to the threat of the Zika virus.
